to begin with...

may I just take a moment to explain the blog's title, or, "handle" or whatever you call it?

I was thinking about my over-the-edge habit of using sticky notes and thought - how about "clippings" like in newspaper clippings? You know?

Yeah, well...it does kind of roll off the tongue, yes?

Pam's Sticky Clippings... I kinda like it. Anyway, here's a place where I can talk to you, my sisters, and my friends - new and old...about, oh...just anything.

If you're a sister/friend ... Hi guys! Let's visit!

If you've just clicked on and we haven't met yet, Hi! Welcome to my blog.

I facilitate a Bible study class on Sunday mornings at my church - the Golden church of Christ in Golden, Colo. We have a great time sitting at God's feet and talking/learning about Him and His Word together.

We are a group of about thirty women - but would love that number to rise and include you.

I also love scrapbooking, decorative painting and quilting. I share scrapbooking and quilting with my family and friends, but as to my painting, I've taken that to another level...setting up a website with diyestores.com called Chickadees Hollow. It's new...okay it may look kind of simple, but it's a home for the painting that I share with my Mom - Polly and my sister - Donna.

I invite you to share your love of these crafts here too, maybe some hints, your favorite websites, etc.

Just chattin'

Hi everyone:
First, I’ve been wanting to share a few of my favorite website haunts, so here they are:
Daisie Company   ginajane_designs@msn.com – this is a website that has graphic designs that you can buy/download…ie. Making party favors – decorations for those cute transparent plastic paint buckets (great for Easter baskets), designs to download and print off to use on scrapbook pages, journaling sets, and lots more – click on and see for yourself
CottageArts.net – this site is primarily for scrapbooking – again you purchase/download graphics to print off and apply to your scrapbook pages.
Scrappindoodles.com – more scrapbooking graphics, plus sets for web pages

So...how's everyone doing in these sub-artic temperatures? I ventured out on Monday to work - no problem - last night, however, was terribly cold. For some reason when it's really cold our upstairs gets really warm!!!  Talked to Robin last night, they're having trouble with a couple of frozen pipes - that's no fun, been there/done that. But Brandon talked to Zack today - everything is much better. We're supposed to go visit thru the weekend with them, hope there's water.
Are you all still reading thru the Bible? I've read ahead  (just in case I couldn't this week) and have just finished reading about the Israelites going thru the Red Sea...noticed some things I'd not seen before, ie., God wanting to take Moses out before he approached Pharoah. Zipporah saved his hide that time. Ever read that? Exodus 4:24-26...interesting, yes? The comments in my NIV says the Lord was angry with Moses because he had not circumcised his son.
That raises several ideas - the Lord wants us to do things "the way He says do it" for one. How hard is that? Obviously, very hard - 'cause some are still striving it seems to even get church right.
Any comments? send them my way - see you next week.
Pam
