to begin with...

may I just take a moment to explain the blog's title, or, "handle" or whatever you call it?

I was thinking about my over-the-edge habit of using sticky notes and thought - how about "clippings" like in newspaper clippings? You know?

Yeah, well...it does kind of roll off the tongue, yes?

Pam's Sticky Clippings... I kinda like it. Anyway, here's a place where I can talk to you, my sisters, and my friends - new and old...about, oh...just anything.

If you're a sister/friend ... Hi guys! Let's visit!

If you've just clicked on and we haven't met yet, Hi! Welcome to my blog.

I facilitate a Bible study class on Sunday mornings at my church - the Golden church of Christ in Golden, Colo. We have a great time sitting at God's feet and talking/learning about Him and His Word together.

We are a group of about thirty women - but would love that number to rise and include you.

I also love scrapbooking, decorative painting and quilting. I share scrapbooking and quilting with my family and friends, but as to my painting, I've taken that to another level...setting up a website with diyestores.com called Chickadees Hollow. It's new...okay it may look kind of simple, but it's a home for the painting that I share with my Mom - Polly and my sister - Donna.

I invite you to share your love of these crafts here too, maybe some hints, your favorite websites, etc.

Stuck at home with a cold...

Hey everyone,
though it's not fun to be stuck at home with a cold, there is something to be said for stopping and having the time to meditate on things, read/study, blow your nose, meditate some more, cough/sneeze, blow your nose...you get my drift. But you know something? I don't obsess or get overwhemed or worry about stuff that I can't get out to do anyway...so, I might as well meditate on things, read/study, blow my nose, meditate some more...

Also, it's a good time to get back on track with my reading through the Bible schedule - haven't done it in a while - hope you all are taking the time to read your Bible some this week.

Prayers please that this cold won't drag on and on...
love, Pam

  1. We have also started to read the Bible through again for the 3rd time. How is it that we always find NEW things??? I also have a "passion" of making cards. Just learned a new technique using old crayons and a craft iron. I could probably do this all day, but then the house, the dinner, the husband, etc. need my attention.

  2. I was telling the ladies in class today about a reading list I found that includes notes - the Duluth (Georgia) church of Christ has a reading list in pdg file that you can download and print off. The author's name is Skip Andrews - and I think he is their minister.
I've also used crayons and an iron to make pictures on fabric - so much fun...fun for kids too.
